Topboards Rules

Topboards is designed to be simple. You pay to influence rank. The market is public. Everyone plays under the same rules. These rules apply across Topboards unless a specific board clearly states additional terms.

1. Rankings

Each board defines a measurable ranking system. Unless otherwise stated:

  • More eligible backing results in a higher position.
  • Rankings may update immediately or shortly after a successful transaction.
  • If two participants have the same score, Topboards may use the earliest qualifying amount, most recent activity, or another published tie-breaking rule.

The applicable rule should be shown on the board.

2. Purchases

A Topboards purchase buys the ranking, points, promotional placement, or other board effect shown before checkout. Purchases are made to Topboards.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the person, artist, company, creator, team, product, or other entity being ranked does not receive the purchase amount. Do not interpret a purchase as a donation, tip, investment, ownership interest, or payment directly to the ranked entity.

3. No guaranteed results

Buying a position does not guarantee:

  • a specific number of visitors
  • clicks
  • followers
  • sales
  • conversions
  • revenue
  • media coverage
  • continued possession of a rank

Other participants may overtake your position at any time while a board is active. That competition is part of the product.

4. Public statistics

Topboards may publicly display board and participant statistics, including:

  • ranking
  • backing amounts
  • points
  • views, visitors, and clicks
  • supporter counts
  • rank changes
  • promoter contribution
  • historical performance

These numbers may be updated, corrected, filtered, or adjusted when fraudulent or invalid activity is detected.

5. Historical status

Topboards may permanently preserve achievements such as:

  • Top 3 and Top 10
  • highest historical rank
  • top supporter
  • reigning Mayor

Historical status does not guarantee future rank or placement.

6. Promoters and referral attribution

Eligible users may receive a unique Topboards referral or promoter link. Topboards may attribute qualifying users and their eligible activity to the referring Promoter for a defined attribution period. Promoter statistics may include:

  • visitors referred
  • registrations
  • paying users
  • attributable purchases
  • net attributable revenue

Follower counts or claimed reach do not determine payout. Actual qualifying activity does.

7. Promoter payouts

Where a board offers Promoter payouts, your applicable rate is set per promoter and shown in your dashboard, and it can differ from one promoter to another. Unless otherwise stated, payouts are calculated from net eligible revenue, which may exclude:

  • refunds
  • chargebacks
  • fraudulent transactions
  • taxes
  • reversed payments
  • self-referrals
  • prohibited activity

Estimated earnings may be displayed before they become payable. Topboards may delay settlement, hold a reserve, or withhold payouts to account for refunds, disputes, fraud review, verification, or payment reversals.

Earnings are estimates until the underlying transactions clear a hold period. If a transaction attributed to you is later refunded, charged back, or reversed after commission accrued, we deduct the associated commission; a shortfall becomes a negative balance offset against future earnings. Payouts run through our payment provider and may require identity verification.

Standard promoter rates may change over time. A change to the standard rate for new promoters does not reduce a rate already established for an existing promoter.

8. No self-referral abuse

You may not use Promoter links, alternate identities, related accounts, coordinated transactions, or other methods primarily intended to create artificial commissions or manipulate attribution. Topboards may remove attribution, rankings, earnings, or accounts associated with abusive activity.

9. No fake activity

Do not manipulate Topboards through:

  • bots
  • fake visitors
  • click farms
  • fraudulent cards
  • automated fake accounts
  • coordinated fake bidding
  • fabricated referrals
  • payment abuse

We may remove invalid traffic or transactions from public statistics and rankings.

10. Refunds

Because purchases immediately affect a public ranking and are delivered instantly, purchases are final and non-refundable once the purchased effect has been delivered, except where required by law or where Topboards determines that an error occurred. Being outbid or changing your mind is not grounds for a refund.

Contact hi@topboards.lol before disputing a charge. Do not open a chargeback for buyer's remorse or for being outbid. An improper chargeback is a breach: we may reverse the rank, suspend the account, forfeit earnings, and recover the amount plus any fees.

If a payment is refunded, reversed, or charged back, Topboards may reverse the associated:

  • points
  • rank contribution
  • supporter credit
  • Promoter attribution
  • Promoter earnings

11. Ranked entities

Being listed on a Topboard does not necessarily mean that the ranked person, company, artist, creator, organization, or brand:

  • created the listing
  • approved the listing
  • participates in Topboards
  • endorses Topboards
  • receives money from Topboards

Topboards should not be interpreted as implying endorsement unless explicitly stated.

12. Prohibited listings and activity

Topboards may reject or remove listings or activity involving:

  • illegal goods or services
  • fraud or impersonation
  • unlawful harassment
  • deceptive claims
  • intellectual property violations
  • payment abuse
  • content or businesses our payment providers prohibit
  • activity that creates material legal, safety, or platform risk

Topboards may remove a listing or account when reasonably necessary to protect the platform or its users.

13. Board-specific rules

Different boards may use different mechanics. A board may define:

  • minimum purchase
  • point conversion
  • tie-breaking rules
  • category eligibility
  • Promoter payout terms
  • ranking methodology

Board-specific rules override these general rules where they clearly conflict.

14. The simple version

  • The market is public.
  • Paying changes rank according to the board's published rules.
  • Other people can overtake you.
  • Traffic and performance are shown as transparently as practical.
  • Fraudulent activity does not count.
  • Promoters are rewarded for measurable contribution, not vanity metrics.

And most importantly: Topboards measures paid backing, not objective worth.
